Visiting our website
You can visit our website without leaving any information about yourself. However, anonymous background data (such as browser, operating system and provider details, IP address, file, data volume, date/time, the previously visited website) is technically transmitted, which is stored in log files at the web hosting company in accordance with legal requirements and deleted after prescribed periods. As an individual user, you remain anonymous, but this data could be analyzed professionally, which could, for example, take place in the course of a criminal offense and at least theoretically lead to a specific user. We do not carry out any analysis using tracking pixels, tracking or reach measurement, nor do we evaluate the background data for marketing purposes.
Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred from our web server or third-party web servers to the user's web browser and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other types of information storage. We use "session cookies", which are only stored for the duration of the current visit to our online presence (e.g. to enable the storage of your login status and thus the use of our online offer at all). A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies cannot store any other data. Session cookies are deleted when you have finished using our online offer and log out or close the browser, for example. Third-party cookies are also used on our website through the integration of third-party content (see section "Integration of third-party content/functions"). Some of these are also session cookies, but it can be assumed that other cookies are used to measure reach, analyze user behavior or for marketing purposes.
If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you can activate or deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of your browser. Saved cookies can also be deleted in the browser's system settings. However, the exclusion of cookies can lead to functional restrictions in the display and function of our website.
THIRD-PARTY ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA
The operation of a website includes service and maintenance as well as hosting, i.e. the storage of website elements on the server of a hosting provider.
The provider is based and has its technical infrastructure - including the servers - in Germany, but this does not completely rule out the possibility that individual connections via the Internet may also be made via servers in third countries. Theoretically, the provider's employees, but also those of the other technical infrastructures of the Internet (such as other server and node operators) as well as those of the web agency in charge have access to the website and parts of the communication, at least in theory. However, these service providers are also subject to the applicable data protection regulations and are bound by corresponding data processing agreements to ensure diligence and reliability.
Technical and organizational measures
We have taken organizational and technical measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of data protection laws are complied with and to protect the website against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. The security measures include, in particular, the encrypted transmission of data between your browser and our server. Encrypted transmission (SSL or TLS) is normally indicated by a lock symbol and the protocol designation "https" in the address bar of the browser.
Integration of third party content/functions
We use offers from third-party providers on this website to improve the attractiveness and functionality of the website (such as an integrated Google map). These service providers may use technologies to analyze user habits. To ensure that the integrated content and technologies function correctly, your IP address and any other technical background data may be transmitted to the service providers' servers. The respective providers are responsible for the specific functioning of the third-party applications, but they are also subject to data protection.
When you send us an e-mail
If you send us an e-mail, please use encrypted transmission via SSL/TLS protocol. The e-mails received will only be stored for as long as we need them for processing or as required by law. They will then be deleted.
Revocation of data processing
You can revoke your consent to the storage and processing of your data at any time in writing or by sending an email to info@greater-rostock.com. This will result in the immediate deletion of all data that is not required for the execution of contracts still in progress at that time or that must be stored in accordance with the principles of proper accounting until the end of a retention period specified by law.
Data transfer
Your data will not be sold, rented or transferred to third parties by us apart from the aforementioned execution of the contract, unless to prevent misuse of our offers and services in a legally permissible manner or to clarify violations of the law. Data is not exported to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
further information
You can ask us in writing or by e-mail (info@greater-rostock.com) which of your data we have stored. You can also send us requests to delete or correct your data.
Rights of the users
You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipient and purpose of your personal data stored by us. You also have the right to request the rectification, blocking, portability or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time using the contact address provided if you have any further questions on the subject of data protection. Furthermore, you naturally also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (www.datenschutz-mv.de).
Data deletion
The data stored by us will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations. If the user's data is not deleted because it is required for other and legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted. This means that the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.
